An education in sleep need not be unavailable, inaccessible or indigestible. It need not be sleep-inducing either…

Education is arguably the single most transformative intervention in determining a person’s life trajectory. International Sleep Charity is committed to improving lives by improving sleep education levels throughout the world. To help facilitate this, International Sleep Charity will be launching a ‘book club’ in the coming weeks and months focused on discussing seminal, but accessible works in the sleep literature. From short, digestible articles and relevant scientific papers, to popular non-fiction and fiction books, the International Sleep Charity Book Club will aim throughout its course to uncover all of the weird, wonderful and informative works related to sleep, elucidating the world of sleep and leave no stone unturned.

It is envisaged that sessions will take place virtually over Zoom and be of 30 minutes in duration, providing participants from all over the world with an interest in learning more about sleep with an all-inclusive safe space to freely discuss sleep-related topics. It will be a book club that is fun, friendly and casual. We hope to help create a new community of enthusiasts for all-things sleep, to create the next-generation of sleep educators and help spread universally available knowledge around the world to help as many people as possible live healthier and more fulfilling lives through improved knowledge about sleep.

Whether or not you have read the selected text, half-read it or anything-in-between need not matter. Join us to learn more about sleep, to listen to some fascinating dialogue or to ask any sleep-related question you like to your fellow future friends in sleep.
